President
• Have anything for the exec committee agenda sent to Amanda by Monday night so she can add them
• We need to work with liaisons more
• Get the senate name out to campus
• Things I have been Up to:
• JCAP: Student Summit is Wednesday April 22 Atrium 1 3:30-5:
• We need at least 40-50 people there
• Push students to come to the Summit
• Topics are research, equity and diversity, globalization, and improvements in learning
• Try to get students to come
• The academic summit is setting the goals for the university for the next 5 years
• Alumni Association Executive Board meeting Wednesday
• Working on establishing a Security Policy
• Working on a Stipend Bill
• Advisor: we need to select one, we can choose the person and for how long
• Give the new advisor a grace period to get used to the position
• We need somebody who is an advisor and protector—an administrator who is looking out for us
• Fundamentally understands how senate operates
• Goal: be a protector for senate for the upcoming year—increase student voice on campus—reach out to students before committee meetings—more open conversations with students on campus—a ton of liaison positions that we didn’t know about

• Paper for senate office behavior—what you can do in the senate office for senate
• Welcome booth this Saturday from 9-2—sheet for the senate meeting
• Sent an email to all committee heads to hold people accountable for meetings
Finance

• A lot of groups that had frozen budgets are not unfrozen
• President’s meeting April 6th happened
• Who is a group and who isn’t?—de-recognition might be happening

Treasurer
• Banner with money from programming
• A lot of co-sponsorship money—help with lobster bake on the quad
• Money from advertising to recruitment
Academic
• Goal: Help senators realize what academic does
• Working on student summit—recruiting
• Working with liaisons

External
• Goal: increase student knowledge on Rhode Island legislation and get absentee ballots ready for the fall
• Working on Magnets April 8th 2015 (final design so it’s ready for fall)
• Having a commuter event in the fall
• Working on the new legislation
Campus
• Goal: Make campus a “doing” committee—golf carts for safety walk—more capital improvements to benefit the campus
• Committee walking tour of campus
• Supporting APO in a campus clean up
• Quote about pillars–$681—what should we do about this?—it needs to be moved back off the road—we will try to put through a contingency bill for this—feeling thermometer 11-0-0

Cultural
• Goal: more programming—each month around a different issue and have a program around that issue
• SASA—fashion show—they’re still figuring out money—co-sponsorship—went to finance April 6th—even if we’re not co-sponsoring it financially, we are with people—event is April 25th—help with tickets: $7 for URI students, $10 non-URI
