COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

 

• Voter Info Booth Wrap-Up
  • Went well, absentee ballots and registration forms were distributed
  • Real Estate Companies are distributing change of residency forms to their tenants, which could cause problems with financial aid with URI if students choose to change their residency
• Bressler Voter Registration Event
  • Senator Bennet and Senator Donnelly are teaming up to provide voter registration forms and absentee ballots to the residents of Bressler Hall on 10/6 at 3pm
• Narragansett Clean Up
  • This weekend (10/8 10am-2pm @ Eastward and Bonnet)
  • There will be a google doc on Gavel Gang to organize rides
  • Community Service slips will be provided
• Turkey Trot (Thanksgiving 5k)
  • NEED VOLUNTEERS
  • Entry ticket is a can of food
  • Food will go to Rhody Outpost
  • Methods to increase off-campus turnout:
    • Set up bins to donate food at the commuter lots, Ann O’Brien property management office (plus other RE offices)
    • Advertise on social media, or ask RE agencies to send emails about it
