COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

 

• Narragansett Town Council: Planning Board
  • President Rode will be speaking on behalf of the student body on Monday, 8 February 2016 at 18:00 before the planning board
  • Possible issue we should address: use the energy in efforts in making attainable plans in creating change, try to move away from legislation
  • Some possible options in consideration: ‘Grandfathering’ some houses. For houses currently being built, it will be made known for leasing to non-related people
  • Lawrence: If students are displaced then there is no way to tell where they will go next, how will they address this?
  • Donnelley: Where the zoning boards will mostly be affected? Who as well?
  • The meeting with the planning board will be open for students
• Possible Spring Project
  • Another off-campus cleanup
  • HRL communications next, Chairwoman Montecalvo will keep the committee updated
