DISCUSSION:

• Questions for the forum:

o   Why the fines? Brief description

o   Mary Jo – what is administration’s standpoint?

o   Parking ban – eastward, bonnet, other neighborhoods

o   General harassment question – why are students feeling unfairly targeted?

o   Happy with the ordinances now or will you create more?

o   Last years/vs. this year’s arrest (numbers are down as far as complaints from last year, so why more restrictions?)

o   How long will this continue? Until public opinion changes?

• Should we bring in media?

o   Record forum – videotape like town hall meetings?

• Resources already available

o   Could media/Narragansett residents attending end up putting us in bad light? – Should media even be there?

o   No real evidence backing complaints, record of forum would be proof of a discussion (sound bites, send to media)

• Audience questions?

o   Mic in center aisle? – as with arming campus police forum

o   Ask people ahead of time?

o   Social media hashtag? Live feed questions? Early submit for questions?
