COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:
- Anime-Boston Grant
- After calculating for half the cost of the first ten members going, the grant would be $526.48.
- Research and quotes presented to the committee, answered all the questions by the committee.
- “I am very comfortable with granting this amount.”
- “My only concern involves the potential fire hazard if too many people are squeezed into a room.”
- King: “I move that we grant $526.48 out of Travel and Lodging for Anime Club for their trip to Anime Boston.”
- Approved (6-0-0)
- Group Liaison for Budgeting Updates
- Please reach out to them if you have not already. If they choose not to respond, it is on them. My goal is to give groups an opportunity to explain what they want to people who understand how the system works. It helps create ownership on your part that both keep our operations efficient and gives you experience working with groups.
- SOLC Conversation
- There was an extensive conversation about it in Exec. We will be meeting with Ryan, Jared, and Austin.
- There were two after-the-fact bills from SOLC. They are not on any one person in particular, they are on Senate and SOLC in terms of responsibility.
- Be prepared for another discussion on this in the future.
- Information Technology
- I was approached by the person who does IT for the Union about hiring an outside person for the Senate’s IT.
- Alternative Meeting Times
- This is for budgeting in particular.
