• Alpine Skiing Category Transfer

The Alpine Skiing Category requested a category transfer of $1000.00 from Budget Line 236: Convention and Registration to Budget Line 133: Training. The organization stated that it would be a better use of their budgeted money if money was transferred out of their Convention and Registration and into Training. The projected costs for convention and registration are less than budgeted because of the decrease in members. If approved the money transferred would be used to help pay for training, specifically the cost of lift tickets. Lift tickets have increased in price by about $2.00 since last year. Lift Tickets are a major component of the cost of training for the organization. The organization explained that they are currently in talks with several ski mountains for ticket discounts. The transfer would lower the cost of training by about $50.00 a person. The members pay $750.00 a year in dues with a large part of it going towards training. This transfer is also an attempt to bring back member numbers with lower dues. The organization currently has 32 members and of that number 27 would be going to training camp. Chairwoman King motioned to grant the category transfer of $1,000.00 from budget line 236 to budget line 133 for Alpine Skiing
