Budget Application Instructions for Annual Budgeting
Budget applications are available on Sakai on the Student Senate site under the “Tests & Quizzes” tab.
Only one application need be filled out by each group (not each signatory).
FOR CATEGORY R Organizations:
Complete the Budget Request e-form on Sakai .
FOR CATEGORY M & S Organizations:
1. Prepare a budget for the upcoming academic year with a detailed explanation, in Word or Excel format. (An example is attached to this announcement on Sakai.)
2. Complete the Budget Request e-form on Sakai, attaching the aforementioned documents.
3. You will receive notification of your First Recommendation via your Senate Office mailbox in
room 201 in the Memorial Union. You are required to return the attached “Happy/Not Happy” form
accepting or challenging the 1st Rec.
4. If you choose to challenge the 1st Rec, appeals will be heard at a Finance Committee meeting.
Your 2nd Recommendation will be given to you with another “Happy/Not Happy” form.
5. The Budget Bill will be put on the Senate floor.
6. The President and/or Treasurer of all Category M & S organizations shall attend the Senate Meeting at
which the bill will be voted on. You will be asked if you accept or want to appeal the recommendation.
Note: Failure to attend will result in loss of budget.
