- Topic 1- Riley temple Bill
After re-recognition, wanted to come up with idea of creating an academic category, with own set of rules. The idea of this bill, the group would be recognized as academic and not be given a budget but could file for contingency. Difficulty is not making the process more confusing, do not want to create more work for people. Bill gives power to SOARC to determine where a club should fall, and if it should fall under the academic category. If the bill were to pass, they would then need to have definition about open programming. What does SOARC think about groups being funded? If event is advertised, groups could get contingency. Can also encourage groups to use the co-sponsorship line. Make bill smaller, and have better wording.
