Leo DiMaio won the respect and friendship of his colleagues and students as director of URI’s Talent Development Program from 1980 to 1998. He dedicated his life and career to advancing the cause of expanding educational opportunity for students of color and disadvantaged students. A celebration of his life and work was held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Memorial Union Ballroom on URI’s Kingston Campus.
