If you answered YES to one or more of these, the Writing Across the Curriculum Seminar is for you.

Spring 2021 Dates: will be announced later this Fall

You must attend at least 5 of the 7 sessions to receive professional development funds.

Due to limited space, not every applicant will be accepted.

 What will participants receive?

1. 1. For WAC Seminar: Your own copy of John Bean’s Engaging Ideas: The Professor’s Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical Thinking, and Active Learning in the Classroom. 
   2. Permanent access to the seminar’s online site with resources
   3. $1,000 in professional development funds (for conference travel, workshops, pay for student assistants, technology, or licenses) to support developing and implementing a new or redesigned assignment in your course.
   4. Potential invitation to become a URI Writing Ambassador.
