We’re excited to announce that Writing Across URI has joined the Office for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. This transition strengthens our mission to champion writing excellence throughout the URI community.
The focus of our team remains unchanged: fostering a vibrant culture of writing across campus by supporting faculty in their dual roles as writers and educators. We continue to offer retreats, forge strategic partnerships, provide personalized consultations, and facilitate collaborative writing groups that bring together faculty from every discipline.
Listening Sessions
This fall, ATL wants to hear from you about what you’d like to see through Writing Across URI. What programs would be helpful to support your writing practice? What kinds of resources have you found beneficial? Listening Sessions will be offered multiple times over the fall semester, both in-person and virtually. Join a Listening Session to share your thoughts and preferences. We’ll incorporate a consensus into future programming and resource development.
Listening sessions will be held at Tyler 225 on the following dates and times:
- Thurs. Oct. 23 from 10am until 11am (virtual)
- Wed. Nov. 19 from Noon until 1pm (in-person, location TBD)
- Mon. Dec. 1 from 11am until 12pm (virtual)
