If you answered YES to one or more of these, the Writing Across the Curriculum Seminar is for you.
Spring 2020 Dates: 1/29, 2/5, 2/19, 3/4, 3/18, 4/1, 4/15
Will meet Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:15 pm in Library 270A.
You must attend at least 5 of the 7 sessions to receive professional development funds.
Due to limited space, not every applicant will be accepted.
What will participants receive?

- For WAC Seminar: Your own copy of John Bean’s Engaging Ideas: The Professor’s Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical Thinking, and Active Learning in the Classroom.
- Permanent access to the seminar’s online site with resources
- $1,000 in professional development funds (for conference travel, workshops, pay for student assistants, technology, or licenses) to support developing and implementing a new or redesigned assignment in your course.
- Potential invitation to become a URI Writing Ambassador.
