Biography

Ewa Romaszewicz joined the art and art history staff at URI in 2011 focusing on two-dimensional design. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual art and a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Brown University, along with a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Indiana University.

Before dedicating herself to a career in art, Romaszewicz worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a protein chemist and taught color theory and design, along with chemistry laboratory courses, at Indiana University.

Ewa has received several academic awards, including a Fulbright grant which enabled her to pursue her painting in Switzerland. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and is fluent in Polish, French and English.
