Biography

Hello! I’m Evan Zarkadas, Academic Advisor for the Harrington School of Communication and Media at URI. My goal is to help students feel supported, informed, and confident as they navigate their academic experience.
I earned my Master’s degree in History from the University of Maine in 2022, and since then I have dedicated my career to helping students navigate their academic journeys with confidence and purpose. My passion for education comes from a simple belief: every student can find their vocation in life when they have the right support, resources, and roadmap to reach their goals. I strive to create a welcoming space where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing plans, and discovering what’s possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, gardening, exploring local coffee shops, visiting museums and historic sites, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey at URI!
