The B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare you for entry level positions in criminal justice and related fields, especially at the state and federal level, or for advanced study in graduate and professional programs.

Students who have met the matriculation requirements for the major (see “Major Entry Requirements” below) are assigned to a faculty advisor within the department. Advisor contact information can be found in Starfish; if you have questions regarding your advisor assignment, please contact the administrative aide in the department.

Major Entry Requirements
- Complete 24 units and have a minimum GPA of 2.00
- Complete URI 101
- Note: Internal transfers into the CCJ major from a different major, or students wishing to add the CCJ major to their current major, must have a minimum 2.50 GPA.
