The majority of French majors are double or triple majors and the majority finishes in four years. There are 47 different majors that have been combined with French at URI. The majority of French majors study abroad during their junior year and/or during a summer session.

Students who have met the matriculation requirements for the major (see “Major Entry Requirements” below) are assigned to a faculty advisor within the department. Advisor contact information can be found in Starfish; if you have questions regarding your advisor assignment, please contact the administrative aide in the department.

- Complete URI 101
