The German-STEM Immersion School in Berlin is a six-week, eight-credit, faculty-led summer immersion program in the heart of Berlin – Germany’s capital and cultural center.
In addition to formal classroom instruction, you will explore Berlin and other German cities, visit sights of cultural and historical significance, and participate in program-sponsored co-curricular activities such as museum and theater visits, sports activities, or barbecues with your new friends – all while speaking German. In fact: By taking the German pledge, you will agree to exclusively communicate in German – inside and outside the classroom. Research has shown that this approach is the most effective way to learn a language.
Through this full immersion environment, and the pledge, you will find yourself speaking, thinking, and even dreaming in German in no time. Delicious German breakfasts and lunches are included in the program fee, and offer another opportunity to interact with your fellow German students.
