Dr. Maria Reger

Biography

Maria Reger will graduate with her PhD in German Studies from the University of Connecticut in May 2019. Her research focuses on  contemporary German literature and human rights. She is a German native speaker and holds a bachelor’s degree in German Literature and Political Science from the RWTH Aachen and a master’s degree in German and Media Studies from the University Duisburg-Essen. In addition, she holds a certificate in Teaching German as a Foreign Language from the Goethe-Institut and the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich. At the University of Connecticut, Maria has taught a variety of courses, including German for Engineers for UConn’s dual degree program  EUROTECH. For the program, she designed and taught the course “The Art of Making Chocolate”.
