URI Students Actively Volunteering & Engaging in Service engages students in various service opportunities in the surrounding community with issues ranging from environment or education, to poverty, human rights, and animal rights. URI S.A.V.E.S. does not hold any specific religious, political, cause, or agency affiliation.

The Office of Civic Engagement & Action assists URI Service Corps student Trip Leaders in planning multiple Alternative Break trips every year - particularly over Spring Break (Alternative Spring Break or ASB)!
