Career Journey

Throughout my undergraduate career at RIC I held many leadership roles. I was on the executive board of RIC’s Ballroom Dance Club for 3.5 years, with positions such as Webmaster, Secretary and Treasurer. I was a Photo Editor for RIC’s newspaper The Anchor. I also worked in the Student Activities Marketing office as an assistant and later promoted to manager. During my last semester, I was a Peer Mentor for a RIC 101 course and I worked with the instructor in facilitating the course. After graduation I was a teacher aide for the YMCA of Pawtucket,
working with students ranging from 18 months to 5 years old. Although I loved working with children, I’m excited to be back to school to pursue my goals of working in higher education!

When not supporting career and experiential education at URI, you will find me: Taking ballroom dance lessons, my favorite dances are Cha Cha and Tango. Strolling through Barnes & Noble, and then taking books out at the library. Visiting goats at animal sanctuaries, because goats are my favorite animals. Working on my Animal Crossing’s island, since I enjoy decompressing with a fun game. Taking a walk along the beach, especially now that I’ll be so close!

What Strength, Value, or Personality trait do you identify with most and why? Being an Introvert is one of my favorite parts of my personality! Even though I love to be social and outgoing throughout my day, I’ve always enjoyed being able to have time to myself to reflect on my day and to recharge for the next.
