Felipe is a Master student in Ocean Engineering under the dual degree program (University of Rhode Island & the University Cantabria, Spain). His current research is on numerical simulation of coastal inundation and erosion under extreme storms.
Felipe is a Chilean civil engineer with an outstanding professional and academic background in complex projects within the port, industrial, and mining sectors. He has led and participated in all stages of engineering development, from feasibility studies to detailed engineering and construction consultancy. His advanced education also includes a Master’s in Coastal and Port Engineering from the University of Cantabria and a Master’s in Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
Felipe is passionate about sports, with a special interest in swimming, surfing, CrossFit, and other activities that keep him active. He also enjoys traveling and exploring places, combining his personal interests with his professional focus on coastal and marine environments.
