Felipe is a Master student in Ocean Engineering, enrolled in the dual degree program between the University of Rhode Island (URI) and the University Cantabria (UNICAN), Spain. His current research focuses on numerical simulations to study coastal inundation and erosion under extreme storms.
Originally from Chile, Felipe is civil engineer with extensive experiences in port, industrial, and mining sectors. He has contributed to complex engineering projects at all stages, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction consultancy. Felipe also holds Master degrees in Coastal and Port Engineering (University of Cantabria, Spain) and Project Management ( Polytechnic University of Catalonia).
In his free time, Felipe enjoys staying active through swimming, surfing, and CrossFit. He is also an enthusiastic traveler, combining his personal interests with his professional dedication to coastal and marine environments.
