B.A. in Chemistry

Curriculum

A total of 120 credits is required for the B.A., at least 30 of which must be in courses numbered 300 or above.

Required Courses

At least 31 credits (maximum 45) in chemistry as follows:

  • CHM 191 and CHM 192: General Chemistry (10cr total)
    OR
  • CHM 101/102: General Chemistry Lecture/Lab I and CHM 112/114: General Chemistry Lecture/Lab II (8cr total)

20 credits as

  • CHM 212: Quantitative Analysis
  • CHM 226/227: Organic Chemistry Lecture/Lab I
  • CHM 228: Organic Chemistry Lecture I
  • CHM 335: Physical Chemistry Lab
  • CHM 431: Physical Chemistry I
  • CHM 432: Physical Chemistry II
    OR
  • CHM 212: Quantitative Analysis
  • CHM 291/292: Organic Chemistry
  • CHM 335: Physical Chemistry Lab
  • CHM 431: Physical Chemistry I
  • CHM 432: Physical Chemistry II

One additional course must be chosen from:
