The Center for Health Monitoring and Intervention (CHMI) is an interdisciplinary research group focused on scholarly innovation in the study of health monitoring. Our mission is to develop, adapt and deploy technologies for tracking health behavior, develop quantitative models for understanding the data they produce and to work with interventionists to deploy our systems. Dr. Theodore Walls’s lab in the psychology department leads this center.
Dr. Walls will be accepting new doctoral graduate students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Please contact him at walls@uri.edu
