Professional interest and involvement as demonstrated by career goals, and membership in professional and discipline-related organizations. Priority will be given to second year students who have manifested a high level of professional interest and involvement.

Brown Scholarship is an endowment scholarship with income awarded annually to a single mother from Rhode Island who is majoring in an undergraduate profession major such as Exercise Science, Communicative Disorders, Pharmacy or pre-Physical Therapy.

Nancy K. Bond '70 Endowed Scholarship FundThe Fund will support undergraduate upper-classman (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) students pursuing a degree in the College of Health Sciences, with a preference for undergraduates who obtained their high school diploma from a public institution.

Theresa Laffey Newton Scholarship FundThe Fund shall support a female student from Washington County, Rhode Island (Charlestown, Exeter, Hopkinton, Narragansett, New Shoreham, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown and Westerly) with financial need.

Gallogly Burt Family ScholarshipThe scholarship will be awarded annually to an undergraduate junior or senior from the state of Rhode Island who has declared a major in Human Development and Family Studies and who would like to pursue a career in counseling or social work. The student should have financial need, academic merit, and display a strong dedication to social and human services professions through participation in volunteer activities and/or community service with those in need. If there is not a student who meets the above stated criteria, preference will then be for a student who has declared a major in the College of Health Sciences and intends to pursue a career in counseling or social work. This student should also display a strong dedication to the human services professions through participation in volunteer activities and/or community service with those in need.
RI Dietetic Association ScholarshipIncome from endowment for $500 scholarships to be awarded annually to seniors majoring in Nutrition & Dietetics who are Rhode Island residents on the basis of financial need, academic performance and interest, effort and commitment in pursuing a career in dietetics.
George H. Bond & Mary Kulik Bond Endowed ScholarshipIncome from endowment for scholarship(s) awarded annually in the College of Health Sciences on the basis of financial need.
Norma Bugbee Memorial Scholarship - Health SciencesThe fund shall be used to provide scholarship support for deserving upper class students in the College of Health Sciences on the even years and students in the Department of Music education on the odd years. Selection to be made on the basis of scholastic achievement.
Professor Mark Wood Memorial EndowmentThis fund shall support psychology graduate student attendance at professional conferences focused primarily on addiction studies and/or social psychology research.
Dr. Janet M. Kulberg Memorial Fund in PsychologyThe Kulberg Award is awarded annually to students in the Department of Psychology at the University of Rhode Island with an interest in serving children and adolescents. Preference is given to doctoral students, but masters’ candidates and undergraduates may also apply.
