Biography
Xiaofeng Lin is an associate teaching professor in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Rhode Island. The courses she teaches include Introductory Biochemistry and Biochemical Aspects of Nutrition and Physiology. She got her Ph.D. at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Rhode Island in August 2005, and did intensive research and lab supervision before starting a teaching career in August 2016.
The research fields Dr. Lin explored include protein tyrosine kinases and mesenchymal stem cells. She worked as a physician for a short period of time before she joined the Ph.D. program, and had experience in animal surgical procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as well. She believes her experience in those fields helps her to look at things from different angles. She loves life sciences and enjoys discussing life science-related topics with college students. It is her passion and goal to not only deliver knowledge and information, but also promote interest, motivation and enthusiastic exploration in the study.
