Highly motivated students with an interest in neuroscience are encouraged to explore the possibility of combining a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience. This choice combines two closely related fields into a challenging 5-year program that may include additional summer study.

The B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology is well suited for students with an interest in the basic sciences, health related fields or a desire to work in biotechnology, especially the biopharmaceutical industry.

The B.S. in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience offers a Molecular Track, which is designed for students interested in studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms of nervous system function, development, and disease. This major provides preparation for graduate programs in neuroscience, biomedical sciences or cell and molecular biology, medical school, advanced degrees in allied health professions, and employment in academic, pharmaceutical or government laboratories.
