Katie MaherKatie Maher | Majors: Secondary Education/English | Hometown: Ashland, MA
Katie is a graduate of the School of Education’s Secondary Education program with a specialization in English Education. She served as President of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Education Honor Society and in January 2020 represented KDP as a volunteer in a 6th grade classroom at Nambale Magnet School in Kenya. She was also recognized with the KDP Outstanding Student Teacher Award. Katie recently completed her student teaching at Westerly (RI) High School in a 10th grade Honors English Classroom where her mentor teacher recognized her teaching strengths both in the physical classroom and in the transition to remote teaching.
