Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, public health guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Rhode Island Department of Health, and URI COVID-19 Task Force will be closely monitored and followed, leading up to the ceremonies. Graduates
A limited number of at-home COVID-19 tests will be provided when graduates pick up their regalia. For the safety of attendees, all graduates are encouraged to take an at-home COVID-19 test within 24 hours of attending their ceremonies.
Attendees
All attendees need to self-monitor for symptoms and are requested to stay home if they are not feeling well.
- The University of Rhode Island expects that all visitors have completed the primary series COVID-19 vaccinations or have a negative PCR or rapid test result (lab or at home) within 48 hours of the event.
- All attendees are encouraged to take an at-home COVID-19 test within 24-48 hours of attending their ceremonies.
- Visitors should be prepared to produce proof of compliance, if requested.
- UPDATE: Rhode Island is now at a high transmission rate for COVID-19. Masks are strongly encouraged at all indoor venues. Free face masks are available at venue entrances.
