Mandatory quarantine requirements for those arriving in Rhode Island from New York

Effective Friday, March 27, 2020, in accordance with Executive Order 20-12 of the State of Rhode Island, any person coming to Rhode Island from New York State is required to immediately self-quarantine for fourteen (14) days. Any students from New York or those who have traveled to New York who had planned to move into or out of a residence hall on campus, Greek Housing, or a residence in any community in Rhode Island should not return to Rhode Island at this time.

The team in URI’s Housing and Residential Life (HRL) is available to help you make arrangements to get any essential items from your residence hall and can coordinate the storage and pickup of your belongings. Effective Friday, March 27, 2020, ALL students please do not return to on-campus residence halls

Effective Friday, March 27, 2020, the University requests all students and families to not return to on-campus residence halls. Your personal items will remain locked in your room. In the exceptional instance there is a personal or family reason that a student must return to an on-campus residence hall to move out, or who had planned to move back to an on-campus residence hall, you must submit a request and receive approval from HRL.
