The COVID-19 Task Force has updated its Campus Events Policy to include an adjustment to the vaccine requirements for large indoor events. The University will now also accept proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before an event as an alternative to proof of vaccination. Also, routine meetings (those that are part of regular University business) conducted by faculty and staff are no longer classified as “events” and the Campus Events Policy no longer applies to them.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, faculty and staff are reminded that this policy is the only policy on requiring vaccination, etc. for events. University departments may not implement their own requirements in addition to what’s already established here without approval from the COVID-19 Task Force.
