Yesterday, April 9, 2026, CYPHER hosted a pilot Generative AI Executive Training session at the University of Rhode Island, led by Dr. Yan (Lindsay) Sun, Professor, CYPHER Co-Director, and Chief AI Officer. The training welcomed industry visitors from Saint-Gobain – Omniseal Solutions, based in Bristol, Rhode Island, for a practical introduction to how generative AI can support both personal productivity and broader organizational strategy.

The two-hour session explored topics including AI as a writing assistant, working with expert assistants, analyzing large documents, deep research, verification, and taking a strategic view of AI within a company. The pilot was held in the CYPHER Lab on URI’s Kingston Campus and was designed as an applied, hands-on training for industry partners.
