CYPHER Co-Director Prof. Yan (Lindsay) Sun Delivers Fireside Chat At FountainHead RI’s 2026 AI & Infrastructure Summit

On Friday, October 23, 2026, CYPHER founding director Yan Lindsay Sun took the main stage at FountainHead RI’s annual AI & Infrastructure Summit as a fireside chat panelist for the session “Trust at Scale: Turning AI Infrastructure into Institutional Value,” alongside Jim Peluso (CIO, Centreville Bank) and moderated by Drew Moffitt (CRO, Moveo AI).

FountainHead RI is a Rhode Island 501(c)(3) that connects more than 2,500 business, government, and community leaders. Its annual summit brings together executives, investors, technologists, educators, and policymakers to examine how organizations prepare for AI through people, processes, technology, and infrastructure, spanning energy and power generation, data centers, investment, workforce development, and cybersecurity.

Approximately 250 leaders attended the summit, including technology executives, investors, bank and insurance CIOs, state officials, and university partners. The University of Rhode Island College of Engineering (COE) and Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) served as joint sponsors and exhibitors, and this effort, led by Dean of Engineering Anthony Marchese and OSI Assistant Director Stef Nelson and supported by CYPHER students Anissa Elias, Constantine Macris, and Aryana Sadr, put URI’s trustworthy AI, cybersecurity research, and workforce development initiatives in front of companies and state policymakers.
