CYPHER and the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering (ECBE) hosted GenAI in Action: Pioneering Tools and Demos on January 17, 2025. This intimate gathering brought together forward-thinking leaders to explore the transformative potential of Generative AI (GenAI) through live demonstrations of tools we have developed and are actively using.
Attendees included four members of the newly formed Rhode Island Senate Committee on AI and Emerging Technology, URI CIO Dr. Fariello, Interim Vice Provost Dr. Adams, College of Engineering Dean Marchese, as well as several industry collaborators. The event showcased how GenAI can reshape teaching, learning, research, and administrative tasks, while fostering dialogue to inspire future innovation.
