Ph.D. Positions with Dr. Weiwei Jia

Dr. Weiwei Jia (https://web.njit.edu/~wj47/) is looking for highly-motivated Ph.D. students for Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Fall 2023. Ph.D. students will receive funding in the form of research assistantships or teaching assistantships for the entirety of their graduate studies. Graduate assistantships include a stipend for living expenses, full tuition, and health benefits.
Students who already have funding are also encouraged to apply. Undergraduate students can apply without master’s degrees.

Dr. Weiwei Jia will join the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at The University of Rhode Island (https://www.uri.edu/) as an assistant professor in Fall 2022.
He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2021. His research interests lie in the areas of computer systems, including operating systems, edge and cloud computing, virtualization, systems architecture, and systems security. He enjoys understanding, designing, and building practical, scalable, and secure computer systems. Most of his recent work focuses on building systems to improve the performance of data intensive applications in modern clouds and data centers. His research contributions have been published at USENIX ATC, USENIX NSDI, MICRO, and PACT.
