Quad Fest 2025

Quad Fest is an annual welcome-back celebration at the University of Rhode Island, hosted by President Marc Parlange. In 2025, the event took place on Tuesday, September 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the URI Quadrangle. It featured a variety of activities designed to foster community spirit and provide students with valuable resources.

Highlights of Quad Fest 2025

  • Fall Student Organization Fair: Over 40 student groups were present to answer questions and provide information about their organizations.
  • Free Farmers Market: Complimentary fresh produce was available for attendees to enjoy.
  • URI Fresh Check Day: A mental health awareness fair with 21 interactive booths covering topics such as nutrition, sleep, relationships, alcohol, and stress relief.
  • Lawn Games: Activities like cornhole, Kan Jam, and Spike Ball were provided by the URI Recreation Team.
  • RI National Guard Rock Wall: A rock climbing wall was set up at the center of the Quad.
  • Peckham Farm Petting Zoo: Attendees had the opportunity to interact with animals at the petting zoo.
  • WRIU Disc Jockey: Live music was provided by the WRIU Radio Station.
  • Complimentary Refreshments: The first 500 guests received free hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, popcorn, cookies, and water.
  • Additional Attractions: Rhody the Ram was present for photos, and the Kingston Fire Station provided information about volunteering.

Quad Fest serves as a vibrant start to the academic year, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the URI community. It offers a platform for students to engage with various organizations and access resources that support their well-being and success.
