GRADE and ACADEMIC STANDING CONCERNS – If you are concerned, seeking info about Second Grade Option, scholarship loss, academic probation, or dismissal, please follow the guidelines provided to apply for the PASS program by the deadline.

SPRING ACCOMMODATION MEETING SCHEDULING: With several hundred students on our caseloads, we can’t email back and forth to schedule. Please schedule via STARFISH, or attend DAI renewal drop-in hours. Remember that Housing Accommodations must be renewed by the end of January.

All DAI and Dean of Students email addresses and phone numbers are monitored intermittently during business hours only, and are NOT to be used for immediate response, reporting, or sole emergency communication.

collage of words relating to disability

DAI adopted the motto, “The Future Is Accessible,” because we are committed to collaboratively improving access at URI through advocacy and education on dismantling barriers which have historically marginalized disabled students. As campus leaders in equity excellence, DAI employs a transformative justice approach, continually assessing and when possible, resolving systemic barriers, decolonizing policies, and improving practices. Access and Inclusion are the shared responsibility of all community members and must be integrated consistently and sustainably into all aspects of campus life. DAI does not expect mastery of disability best practices from faculty, rather, our mission affirms a commitment to partnering with individuals and departments to continually make progress in creating equitable access by design.
