Biography

Guoyi Xu joined the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Fall 2025. Prior to joining URI, he was a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University in 2023. His past research stands in the intersection of hardware systems and signal processing. His research interests include integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) and wireless sensing for applications in IoT, smart city, smart industry, intelligent transportation, V2X, healthcare, etc., standing in the intersection of hardware system development and signal processing.
