Biography
Guoyi Xu joined the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Fall 2025. Prior to joining URI, he was a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University in 2023, and the bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2018. His past research stands in the intersection of hardware systems and signal processing. His research interests include RF/mm Wave integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), indoor/outdoor radar, and RFID systems for IoT, intelligent transportation, and biomedical applications.
