Mehmet Seckin

Biography

Mehmet Seckin joined the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island as an Assistant Teaching Professor in Fall 2025. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at URI, where his research focuses on embedded systems, wearable digital health, AI-assisted healthcare applications, and IoT-enabled medical devices. His work includes cloud-connected health platforms and sensor-based monitoring systems. Mehmet earned his M.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2019.
