Biography

Hi, my name is Malinda Fry, and I am from Exeter, Rhode Island. I am majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering and minoring in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems.

I am excited about my opportunity to join the URI VOTES team. Through my research here, I am making data-informed recommendations to election officials, to make the voting and election planning processes more efficient through industrial and systems engineering techniques, such as location layout and resource allocation. On campus, I am a member of the Native American Student Organization (NASO), Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS), and the Institute of Industrial and System (IISE) clubs on campus. Outside of school, I play in soccer and softball leagues.
