Biography

Nunes’ work focuses on the application of facilities layout planning and resource allocation in election spaces, with a specific concentration on election warehouses. Nunes has worked with election officials across the United States to understand the storage processes for election ballots, documentation, and equipment. Her work aims to help election officials and administrators appropriately allocate space within these storage facilities. She has also worked with election officials to redesign the layouts of Election Day voting locations to improve overall voter flow.

Nunes received her B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and M.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
