The goal of the Hazardous Waste Management program is to improve a person’s knowledge of hazardous waste management, provide training to University staff, students, PI’s and lab personnel, and to ensure regulatory compliance. The information presented on this web site and in the training modules are intended to teach personnel how to identify and properly dispose hazardous waste from both laboratory and institutional maintenance and operations areas. Additionally the goal is to enhance sustainability by adopting pollution prevention and waste minimization strategies.
