The goal of the Occupational Safety program is to improve a person’s knowledge of occupational safety, provide training to University staff, students, PI’s and lab personnel, and to ensure regulatory compliance. The information presented on this web site and in the training modules is intended to teach personnel how to avoid and limit their exposure to occupational hazards.
Environmental Health & Safety also manages asbestos, lead paint, indoor air quality and radon programs. For information or concerns regarding these contaminants in specific buildings or spaces, please contact us directly at srm@etal.uri.edu.
