Hazard Mitigation Plan
The University of Rhode Island Office of Emergency Management is proud to share our Hazard Mitigation Plan. This makes URI the first Higher Education Institution in the state to complete a hazard mitigation plan formally accepted by FEMA.
The URI Office of Emergency Management is responsible for emergency planning, response, mitigation, and recovery on all URI campuses and serves as the university’s liaison with all external emergency management partners.
Please review our updated Emergency Preparedness Video to ensure your safety while on and off campus. If you would like to schedule a training for your department or residence hall, please email emergency@etal.uri.edu.
