Erik Anderson is a model-based embedded software engineer at IAV in Gifhorn, Germany, a company developing the mobility of the future. He specializes on model-based software development (Simulink) of automation and control algorithms for non-automotive applications (energy sector – wind turbine automation and control).
Erik is a graduate of the International Engineering Program, ‘02, German & Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation he joined the ZF International Trainee Program, rotating through various divisions at ZF in Friedrichshafen and Passau in 2002-03. He was hired as a project engineer by ZF Lemförder Fahrwerktechnik GmbH & Co KG and worked there until 2006. Erik then pursued a dual Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at URI in 2008 and in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in mechatronics at TU Braunschweig in ‘09. He started working for IAV in 2009 as an applications engineer in the development of On Board Diagnostic (OBD) software algorithms and calibration parameters for internal combustion engine vehicles.
