A devoted advocate for the power of language learning, IEP Coordinator Melissa Schenck ’09, ’11 M.A, received a Beatrice S. Demers Fellowship for an intensive language course in Germany in summer 2022.

Kevin Suggs, a rising fifth-year senior from Pawtucket, RI, will travel to Fukuoka, Japan this fall for his long-awaited year abroad through the International Engineering Program.

IEP is happy to share that URI has been recognized as a top producer of Gilman scholarships over the last twenty years. Designed to assist Pell Grant recipients, this scholarship has aided IEPers with high financial need to make their dream of studying abroad a reality.
