Biography

I thoroughly enjoy working with students to assist them in achieving their goals. I have worked in social work and education for the last forty years. I have been at URI for fifteen years. My previous role here was as the Director of academic advising in UCAS. I have been at URI for 15 years.

I have a bachelors and master’s degree from Lesley University and am a certified life coach.

My new part time role in re-enrollment allows me to do what I love to do, which is listen to what students truly want from their education and assist them in finding their best fit major and what they need to be successful – socially, emotionally and academically. It is an opportunity for students to look at what worked and what did not work the first time and to proactively work with me as your coach to get at what it is you want from the education and develop a plan to get there in a way that serves you the best. Wrapping resources and services around students and connecting them with my URI professional colleagues who can support and inspire them will serve students well on their journey toward their degree. Being a part of that journey is my privilege and passion!
