The Office of Equal Opportunity offers consultations and technical assistance meetings to University of Rhode Island employees and individuals benefitting from university programs and activities. Consultations involve on-site or remote meetings scheduled to assist prospective Complainants in identifying the source of the concern and provide University resources, policies, and procedures, so that the Complainant can best assess the most appropriate course of action, given the circumstances.
Who should schedule a consultation?
- A student interested in filing a civil rights complaint against a university staff, faculty, vendor, or the University of Rhode Island.
- Any person benefiting from University of Rhode Island programs or activities who believes they have been subject to discrimination or harassment.
- Faculty and staff.
