The Office of Equal Opportunity serves as the liaison between state and federal regulatory and enforcement agencies, and the university, and prepares the University’s Affirmative Action Plan, and other reports as required under applicable statutes.
Purpose
The purpose of this Affirmative Action Plan is to satisfy state requirements and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring equal employment opportunities for applicants and employees. Affirmative action requirements are intended to ensure that applicants and employees of Rhode Island state agencies and federal contractors have equal opportunity for recruitment, selection, advancement, and every other term and privilege associated with employment, without regard to their protected status.
