Internships with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

The NGA Student Internship offers students the opportunities for real-world professional experience. The work assigned to students is professional in nature and is conducted in a learning environment that provides each student real-world experience and an opportunity to be evaluated for potential long-term employment. Student employment assignments are based on entry-level professional job descriptions, which will involve a great deal of independent and team-oriented work under the guidance of a senior-level supervisor and mentors. This is a ten week summer internship program. NGA’s student internship is open to students at various stages of their education and studying a variety of disciplines. Applicants must be a US citizen and at least 18 years of age. Applicants must be currently enrolled at least half-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Program requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Interns experience many of the benefits of our full-time employees, including paid opportunities with sick and annual leave. Upon successful evaluation and mission need, there is a chance to ‘convert’ to a full-time employee after graduation.
