TFAS DC Internships

The Fund for American Studies provides engaging opportunities for academic and professional growth to undergraduate students whether in-person or virtually. There are internships opportunities for fall and spring semesters as well as summer opportunities. For the summer program, students spend 8 weeks earning 3-6 credits from George Mason University, complete an internship placement for in their field of interest. For the fall and spring semesters, students spend 15 weeks in D.C, earn 12 credit from George Mason University and be placed in an internship within their fields of interest.


Summer interns earn 3-6 credit, get an internship and live for free at George Washington and Fall & Spring intern earn 12 credits, get an internship and live in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood.


Eligibility: First-year Undergraduate (Freshman), Second-year Undergraduate (Sophomore), Third-year Undergraduate (Junior), Fourth-year Undergraduate (Senior)
